Thankfully, there are plenty of places at The Strand serving up the classic favourite with their own twist. Fast, fresh and definitely delicious, these top picks will satisfy all your burger cravings.
THE BLACK SHEEP ESPRESSO BAA
Dishing up burgers so big you can barely fit your hands around them, the The Black Sheep Espresso Baa is guaranteed to satisfy your lunchtime hunger. Choose from a classic cheeseburger, step it up to their pork or famous lamb burger, or keep it vego with the Hippie Burger. Grab one for just $10 between 12pm and 2pm on weekdays.
THE COOLANGATTA HOTEL
Nothing beats a good old fashioned pub burger and The Coolangatta Hotel has a lunch and dinner special for those craving a weekday fix. From Monday to Friday, you can get your hands on a Beef Burger and chips at lunch for $12.50 or a gourmet Grilled Chicken Burger at dinner for $15.
There is a lot more to Pancake Diner than just pancakes. In fact, the American inspired restaurant serves up a wide range of menu options, including some pretty mean burgers. It wouldn’t be an American diner without a traditional cheeseburger and these are some of the best.
While fish and chips are the star at Selfish, their Bush ‘N’ Beach Bagel is a must try for meat lovers. Featuring succulent aged eye fillet, topped with freshly crumbed calamari and a prawn cutlet and drizzled with tomato relish jus, you’d be hard pressed to find a tastier version of this classic anywhere.
Stepping beyond the ordinary, Bin 72 creates bite sized morsels to remember. If you’re in the mood for a burger without going the whole hog, try their tasty beef sliders or the soft shell crab slider topped with chilli Asian slaw. Proof that good things do come in small packages.
With their stylish new digs now open, Grill’d Coolangatta serves up gourmet, healthy burgers at their finest. Beef, chicken, lamb and veggie lovers are all covered by their extensive menu using only the freshest local produce, or get creative and create your own burger just the way you like it.
