A Blooming Success: The Secret Garden at The Strand

The Strand came alive with colour, creativity, and curious little bunnies during April School Holidays as our Secret Garden Easter activation delighted families from near and far. From free daily craft workshops to a bustling Easter Egg Hunt, our April activation proved one of our most popular yet, with record-breaking attendance and sell-out sessions across the board.

A Garden Full of Giggles and Chocolate
Over 10 days, more than 880 children rolled up their sleeves and got crafty with a rotating line-up of hands-on Easter activities. From decorating wooden baskets and plaster eggs to making bunny biscuits and creating their very own peg puppets, each day offered something new; and judging by the smiling faces, it was clear the little ones had a ball. In fact, most sessions reached capacity, with many workshops filling within minutes of doors opening!

The Great Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday 19 April, the Centre transformed into an Easter adventure zone as over 115 kids raced through The Strand on a scavenger-style egg hunt. With bunny ears on and hunt cards in hand, families explored the Centre, collecting clues and chocolate surprises from our wonderful participating retailers. A big thank you to Endota, Boardwalk Boutique, Beach & Beyond, My Scooter Lab, Concrete Lines, Inverted Bodyboarding, and Truckloads for jumping on board and bringing the Easter Hunt to life.

Truckloads of Fun – and Prizes!
As our major partner for the campaign, Truckloads gave participants a chance to win one of two $125 Gift Cards, perfect for more school holiday fun. Their store was a hotspot for Easter goodies and featured prominently across our campaign collateral, online and in-Centre.
