The Cinebar experience to open in early 2023

Southern Gold Coasters – you asked, and we listened! After offering their premium experience exclusively to Brisbane for almost eighteen years, Cinebar Licensed Cinemas, are expanding, bringing their unique gold-class experience to The Strand at Coolangatta. Cinebar Coolangatta will feature a stylish boutique lounge bar, with state-of-the-art digital projection and sound, and a new kitchen preparing an extensive food and beverage offering available to guests in the lounge before the movie or delivered in-cinema.  

Cinebar Coolangatta promises the ultimate big screen event to their guests, inviting movie-goers to kick back and relax in luxurious recliners while enjoying an abundance of restaurant-quality meals, cocktails, wines and beers delivered to their seat – all whilst immersing themselves in the latest blockbusters.

‘BCC Cinemas had called The Strand at Coolangatta home for over 30 years. After their departure, we knew our Southern Gold Coast Community needed a quality cinema offering. We wanted to make sure we could bring this experience to our community. Cinebar Coolangatta will be the ultimate go-to for Southern Gold Coasters with unique cocktails, meals and more. ‘We are extremely lucky here at The Strand, with the beachfront on our doorstop, boutique local shops, dining and now a state-of-the-art cinema experience. Where else can you go from the beach to the cinema in less than 5 minutes?’

‘Over the coming months, our community will notice works around the Centre. Early works for Cinebar Coolangatta have commenced, with visible works to commence shortly. We will be transporting in three cranes along Griffith Street. We look forward to sharing further updates with our Southern Gold Coast Community’
The Strand at Coolangatta is located on 72-80 Marine Parade, with a large offering of local and bespoke shopping, tantalising destinations for dining, one of Australia’s best live entertainment Venues – The Coolangatta Hotel, a large format Timezone to keep the family entertained ‘til late and will be home to the new contemporary cinema, Cinebar.

Cinebar Coolangatta is anticipated to open early 2023.
