Tammy Blunsdon is the owner of VIBE Hair & Beauty at The Strand – a family business which she has co-owned with her mum for the past 11 years. The salon has recently undergone a major makeover, re-opening with a fresh, vibrant and welcoming feel on the Ground Level.

A hairdresser for 18 years, Tammy leads a highly experienced team of senior stylists based at the salon, which has become a staple in Coolangatta and the centre. Offering a full suite of services from cuts and styles to colours, upstyles, Keratin smoothing treatments, Olaplex, perms and treatments, VIBE specialise in the colour techniques of balayage and foiling.

“We definitely have a very relaxed clientele who like to have low maintenance hair styles and being so close to the beach, we do a lot of blondes and balayage – a popular choice for its easy upkeep,” Tammy said.
“The balayage colour technique gives a blended, sun kissed and natural look, that doesn’t leave harsh or obvious regrowth lines. It emulates the parts of your hair that would naturally lighten in the sun and with endless sunshine on the Gold Coast, it is the go to for locals.”

Alongside the Hair salon, VIBE also houses a beauty room offering all your beauty needs from facials to eyelash extensions and her specialty, eyebrow waxing,
