Founded in 1996 and proudly Australian with headquarters based on the Gold Coast, Zarraffa's specialises in freshly roasted coffee made from high grade Arabica beans. Sourced from all over the globe, Zarraffa's beans are grown in Guatemala, Kenya, Brazil, Costa Rica and Columbia. Beans are shipped to Zarraffa's headquarters and are air roasted locally at the Zarraffa’s Coffee Roastery and packaged so that they are protected from moisture and temperature damage and retain their superior flavour. Properly roasted coffee beans are particularly sensitive to light, air and moisture so it is critical to store the beans in a cool, dry, dark place.
The name Zarraffa’s comes from the Arabic word ‘Zarafa’, meaning giraffe, and the Masai Giraffe lives in the savannahs of Kenya and Ethiopia, the origin of coffee.
