Simon “Swilly” Williams Exhibits Famous Surf Prints at The Strand
One of Gold Coast's best surfing photographers, Simon “Swilly” Williams, will be displaying prints of his photographs of local World Champions Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Steph Gilmore and others at The Strand at Coolangatta in February 2016.
The 10 poster-size prints will be exhibited around The Strand’s Atrium throughout the month until they are auctioned off to raise funds for Gold Coast World Surfing Reserve Inc on Thursday 17 March at Snapper Rocks Surf Club.
The southern Gold Coast has been designated as the 8th World Surfing Reserve, with the official dedication ceremony to be held at Snapper Rocks on 9 March 2016, recognising the area globally for its iconic point breaks.
Featuring the Southern Gold Coast’s most famous surfers in action, including our local World Champions, the exclusive prints will weave in the story of our region’s surf history and the world-famous breaks that our champion surfers call home.
The prints will be on display around the Atrium till Wednesday 24th February and everyone can view the public exhibition for free. We even hope to see some of the stars of the prints join us at The Strand to view this larger-than-life exhibition themselves throughout February.
