Join Australia’s best fire twirlers for the 2015 National Fire Twirling Competition
at Coolangatta Beach, Sunday 8th March at 6.30pm. Grab a bite to eat
at The Strand, then head over the road for a night under the stars, of choreographed fire dancing with big flames, fast spinning and impressive fire tricks.
With fire twirling still a young art form, this event aims to raise its profile and celebrate this skill as an art form. The scene is evolving rapidly, with new props as well as totally new ways of using existing props; it’s an exciting time for this form of expression.
With a judging panel made up of experienced twirlers, performers, artists and also non-experienced appreciators, Australia's premiere Fire Twirling troupes will be battling it out for the $1500 first prize.
There will also be side shows of local entertainment, music and circus acts for the whole family. A Threeworlds
event, it's co-hosted by ‘In The Bin Short Film Festival’; who will be broadcasting live coverage of all the action on the big screen.
